The problem
Six String Society, an independent concert promoter in San Diego, had ticket sales spread across separate platform exports, with no single view of which shows were working.
What I did
- Combined ticket sales from 50 events into one reporting view, the first per-event source of truth for sell-through and revenue.
- Compared sell-through by price tier, on-sale timing and venue.
- Automated the reporting in Python and SQL, replacing a manual spreadsheet process.
Result
Pricing and inventory-release recommendations that the team acted on, and tracking during a campaign instead of only after the show.
What I learned
Clean, combined data comes first. The analysis was quick once every event lived in one table.
